John Treacy
With over 19 years of consulting experience in the EU, North America and more recently Japan, John's specialist areas include analysis, strategy, sales force effectiveness, business process outsourcing, strategic HR and communications.
John has worked with global client names such as GE, Vodafone, Capgemini, Heineken, DePuy/Johnson & Johnson, NEC Electronics, and well known Irish client names such as the HSE, Tunstall / Emergency Response, Group 4 Securicor, Tesco, IDA Ireland, NUIG and RTÉ.
In 2012, Treacy Consulting set up a partnership with SanovoMed to help Irish and UK healthcare companies enter the Japanese market.
Prior to setting up Treacy Consulting in 2004, John Treacy worked with two global management consulting firms, Towers Watson and Sibson & Company/Segal.
During his seven years in the US, John worked with clients such as Regent Medical, AOL, AAA, Borg-Warner/Burns Security, Borg-Warner Automotive, IntelliRisk, CSAA Insurance, Orkin/Rollins, Nestlé, Wheels.com, Mebane Packaging and Shaw Industries.
John is the Managing Director of Treacy Consulting. As the Head of Policy for the Dublin Docklands Business Forum, John was appointed by the Minister for the Environment to the DDDA Council in May 2012, and to the Advisory Group of the new Docklands SDZ. In September 2012, John was appointed to the Board of IRUPA, the Irish Rugby Union Players Association, to help protect players’ welfare and secure their careers after rugby.
Before moving into management consulting, John spent two years in the futures and options trading industry, working on the trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade and on the Foreign Exchange team at ABN-Amro.
John graduated as a Bachelor of Business and Legal Studies (BBLS) degree from University College Dublin in 1995 studying law and commerce.
Stephen Treacy
Stephen has been working in the areas of corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and e-commerce strategy for over 18 years across the US and Europe.
Stephen has also worked for four years as Strategy and Business Development Manager for C&C Group. Based in Dublin, this work involved assessing new markets, new products and acquisitions across Europe, the United States and South America.
Prior to this, Stephen worked exclusively for the US strategy group of the German Stock Exchange (Deutsche Boerse), the Swiss Stock Exchange, and Eurex, the largest futures and options exchange in the world. Based in Chicago, Stephen was engaged to help define, plan and implement the $6 billion company's US market-entry strategy.
Prior to his work at Deutsche Boerse, Stephen worked as a corporate strategy consultant for clients such as GE Financial Assurance, Baxter Pharmaceuticals, the Canadian Government, Genentech Biotechnology, Peabody Energy, Law.com and Nestle/Ralston Purina. Stephen's corporate strategy work in this area included M&A due-diligence, new product/new market feasibility studies, cross border trade initiatives, marketing benchmarking studies and e-commerce business strategies.
Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Management) from Trinity College Dublin. Stephen also holds an Advanced Diploma in Administration and Marketing from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
